Trafford Care Consortium
This is a partnership of approx 60 care providers from the private, public and voluntary sector.
The aim of the partnership is to enable all members to have access to appropriate training for their staff which ensures that the provide the best level of care to their service users. The partnership holds a meeting approx once every 8 weeks to share information and to hear relevant speakers. Partners can also access funds from Skills For Care thorugh the partnership to help recover some of the costs of providing NVQ training for staff. Partners can claim £75 for each successful NVQ unit achieved by their staff.

Age Concern Trafford acts as lead partner for the consortium and the partnership development worker, Philomena Farrell, who is employed by TMBC is based in Age Concern Trafford offices in Urmston. Other partners include Trafford Crossroads, Stockdales, Trafford Carers Centre, SOS Homecare, Trinity Merchants, Beverley Park Nursing Home, Redhouse Care Team and many more from both the private and voluntary sector.
